Growing up on the North Shore of Oahu, Ryan began his artistic voyage in ceramics. His début in the Honolulu Art Culture was at age 17 at the Academy of Arts with a Raku ceramic whale sculpture entitled “Pod of Whales”. Since then his art has progressed along with his cultural and ethnic experiences. Global and vintage materials often are interwoven into the canvas creating a unique 3D perspective for each painting “on the wall”.
